About Tiffany Winter
Growing up on Cooks Bay, I developed a deep love for Lake Minnetonka. My childhood days were always filled with lake activities, and I still love living near the lake and being a part of our unique lake community. There’s something magical about spending summer days sitting on the dock dipping your toes in the water or on the boat admiring the pinks and purples of the sunset. This love, combined with my foodie interests in cooking and restaurants, sparked my idea for the Lake Minnetonka Eats cookbook.
Lake Minnetonka has an amazing array of locally-owned restaurants, many new within the last year. I wanted to feature these unique businesses and the variety of food and drinks they serve. Each one has its place in the community, an interesting story and a local and loyal following. I truly enjoyed spending time in each restaurant learning their histories, meeting the chefs and owners and connecting with people that share the same passions.
I have a marketing consulting business, Cooks Bay Marketing, so-named for my favorite bay on the lake. I love helping businesses get creative and spread the word about how special they are.
A huge animal lover, I am on the Board of Directors and am the Marketing Co-Chair for Carver-Scott Humane Society. I am also on the Excelsior Girls Night Out committee, my favorite way to spend Thursday nights in the summer.
